About the Service
Encovert finds your personal information on 238+ data broker and people-search sites, submits opt-out and removal requests on your behalf, and re-checks every month to remove anything that reappears. We also submit removal requests to government record sources , county property tax records and voter registration rolls , which is what keeps broker data coming back. Every client gets a portal showing removal status in real time.
Doing it yourself means visiting each of 238+ sites individually, filling out separate opt-out forms, following up when sites do not respond, and repeating the entire process every few months when data returns. It takes hundreds of hours over the life of a subscription. Encovert does all of it on a signed Limited Power of Attorney so you never have to touch it. We also handle government records , the source that feeds broker sites , which manual opt-outs never address.
The main difference is government record removal. Most services stop at data broker opt-outs. Data brokers pull from county property tax records, voter registration rolls, and court databases. If those sources are not addressed, removed data returns within weeks regardless of how many broker sites act on the request. Encovert submits removal requests directly to county-level government sources , no other consumer service does this as a standard part of every plan. We are also built specifically for law enforcement and high-risk professionals, not the general consumer market.
Encovert was built by an active Texas peace officer who found his own home address on over 40 websites after a scam was run in his name. The service exists because the privacy steps officers are taught as rookies are incomplete , they address one data source while brokers pull from dozens of others. Your data is used only to submit removal requests on your behalf and is never sold or shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown of what we collect and how it is handled.
How It Works
Most broker sites confirm removal within two to six weeks of our initial request. Some take longer , a handful of sites have 30 to 90-day processing windows. Government record removals at county appraisal districts and voter registration offices typically process within 30 to 60 days. We track every submission and follow up on any that do not respond within their expected window. You can see status for every site in your portal.
Yes , this is why monthly monitoring is built into every plan. Data brokers continuously re-aggregate from public sources. A site that removed your listing in March may re-list you by August based on a property record update, a new marketing database purchase, or another broker sharing data. Encovert re-scans every 30 days and removes anything that reappears automatically. You do not have to ask or notice it yourself.
The Limited Power of Attorney (LPOA) authorizes Encovert to submit opt-out and removal requests on your behalf. Without it, data broker sites will not accept removal requests from third parties , they require the request to come from the subject directly or from an authorized agent. The LPOA is limited in scope to privacy-related submissions only and grants no other authority. It is completed during your onboarding profile setup, takes about two minutes, and is stored in your portal for your records.
The DPS confidential designation is a provision under Texas Transportation Code Section 521.1211 that allows eligible individuals , including peace officers , to use a substitute address on their driver's license rather than their home address. It is one protective step, but it only affects that one record. Encovert handles the broader data exposure that DPS designation does not touch: data broker sites, property tax records, voter registration, search engine results, and more. The DPS appointment itself requires your in-person presence at a DPS office; we walk you through exactly what to do, but that one step is yours to complete.
Elite plan includes one family member , a spouse, partner, or adult child , with the same full removal and monitoring as your own record. This matters because data broker sites list family members alongside the primary subscriber, and someone who wants to reach you through your family has the same tools available to them. Additional family members can be added for $22 per month each. Family coverage is available on Elite only, not Basic.
Pricing and Billing
Basic covers one person at $39 per month and includes data broker removal from 238+ sites, government record removal, Google and Bing Search Sweep, and monthly monitoring. Elite covers one person plus one family member at $64 per month and adds family coverage, Google Maps and Apple Maps home blurring, and a faster re-scan cadence. Shield Response is available as an add-on to both plans for $7 per month.
Yes. Cancel from your portal at any time. Your protection continues through the end of the current billing period and then stops. There are no cancellation fees and no contracts for individual subscribers. New subscribers have a 30-day money-back guarantee on their first payment , contact support@encovert.com within 30 days to request a refund.
Home Shield is a $75 one-time add-on that files removal requests with your county appraisal district to remove your home address from publicly searchable property tax records, and enables Google Maps and Apple Maps home address blurring. Property records are one of the primary sources data brokers pull from, so removing them at the county level reduces how often your data returns after removal. It is available on any plan. Elite plan members are eligible for Home Shield; it is not included in the base price.
SentryWatch is an always-on monitoring add-on that continuously scans social media, news sites, public forums, and the web for mentions of your name, address, or identifying information. When something surfaces, Encovert reviews it and alerts you before it becomes a real-world threat. SentryWatch is currently in development and is listed as coming soon. Contact us to be notified at launch.
Shield Response
Shield Response is an emergency privacy protocol that activates when an incident puts you in the public spotlight. When activated, Encovert immediately runs a full exposure scan, submits accelerated removal requests across all monitored sites, reviews family member exposure, and provides daily status updates until the case closes. It is designed for officer-involved shootings, viral incidents, high-profile arrests, credible threats, or any situation where a union rep or attorney recommends locking down your digital footprint. Activation is available through your portal with one tap.
Activation happens immediately and Encovert begins accelerated submissions within hours. However, broker sites still process removals on their own schedules , most confirm within days to a few weeks, not overnight. Shield Response does not guarantee same-day removal across all sites; it ensures that every site is contacted as fast as possible, followed up with aggressively, and re-monitored daily during the active case. The daily updates keep you informed of exactly where every removal stands.
Individual subscribers get one Shield Response activation per year. Union and department contracts include one activation per enrolled member per year as well. Additional activations can be arranged , contact support@encovert.com to discuss your situation.
For Organizations
Once a group contract is signed, Encovert provides an enrollment link. Members or officers self-enroll in under five minutes by completing their onboarding profile. For unions, enrollment additions and removals are handled by Encovert on the union's behalf. For departments, administrators manage the roster directly through an org portal , they can add and remove officers themselves without contacting Encovert. All organizational accounts are billed directly to the organization on net 30 terms.
Yes. Every enrolled member has their own client portal showing their individual removal status , which sites were found, which have been removed, and which are in progress. The organization admin sees a separate view showing every enrolled member and their protection status. The two views are separate: officers see their own data, and the admin sees the roster summary without accessing officers' individual personal information.
Union and association contracts include Shield Response in every membership , it is not an add-on. Department contracts can add Shield Response for an additional amount per seat per month. Contact us for current organizational pricing. Either way, Shield Response is activated by the officer through their own portal and does not require contacting Encovert or the organization admin.
Email info@encovert.com with your organization name and approximate member or officer count. We will send a proposal with your negotiated per-seat rate within one business day. A dedicated enrollment link can be ready within 24 hours of a signed agreement.
